Ella Fitzgerald was a popular female singer of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s era. One of my favorites, Tisket a Tasket was her first single recorded at the age of 18. This was of course a later version.

Dubbed “The First Lady of Song,” Ella Fitzgerald was the most popular female jazz singer in the United States for more than half a century. In her lifetime, she won 13 Grammy awards and sold over 40 million albums.

One of my favorite clips from my favorite movie “Singing in the Rain” with Gene Kelly, Donald O Connor and Debbie Reynolds.

Beautiful Girls, was a play off of all the generations, 20’s, 30’s 40’s and 50’s even though the movie was SET in the 1920’s.

From one of my favorite movies of all time “Arsenic and Old Lace” starring Cary Grant.

This is one of his movies that wasn’t in the spotlight like his others. However, this movie was one of his best! A true acting genius and another actor of the oldies that I love!

Famous for all his other movies like “North by Northwest”, “Bringing up Baby”, and “Gunga Din”.

From the movie “Going My Way” with Bing Crosby, which then lead to it’s sequel “The Bells of Saint Mary’s” a 1945 Oscar winning movie.

Singing “Toura Loura Loura”

Jerry Lewis is a huge part of American Culture and with the recent news of him no longer hosting the famous “Telethon” it’s important for kids to know WHY it’s such a travesty. He was an amazing man and he made movies that made me people laugh and feel GOOD! Enjoy one of my favorite film clips from the Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis Collection “At War With The Army”
